Life Outside The Binary
Nonbinary Transgender Information Centre

Hello! I’m a non-binary sociology student from Edinburgh. I’m hoping to carry out this project for my dissertation. I want to interview non-binary people about their experiences in Scotland and Iceland. The participants will be anonymous and this project has been cleared by the ethics committee at Edinburgh university.

This is the flyer for Icelandic participants. Would you be able to share this? I would love to be able to get some participants soon! :)

Thank you!

The Queer Club

Hi there! Hate to be a bother, but could you please share this with your followers?

We are a new LGBTQ advice group aiming to aid those members of the LGBTQ community.  We tried to start out our group back in July, but life problems got in the way of us being able to keep up a permanent blog.

But now, we’re back!

Currently we have two moderators: Vlad and Leigh.  You can learn more about us here.

Due to the recent suicide of Leelah Alcorn and the outrage behind it, we are pledging to keep a permanent blog with active members to help other young people that are suffering from poor home situations and prevent further suicide.  ALL LIVES MATTER!!!!

We are here to help ALL LGBTQ members, of ALL age groups, races, home lives, and etc!

We also have a YouTube channel, in which we’ll be adding personal videos about our moderator’s lives, advice videos for our followers, and more!

To help us kickstart, please spread the word!  Follow us on tumblr, and subscribe to our YouTube!  Send us messages!  Spread, spread, spread the word!  We want to be out there and available to everyone who may need us!

Thanks, you guys!  Lots of love!

ALL LIVES MATTER!!!!!

Thank you!!! <3

Calling dmab non-binary people!

deanwinchesterinmyheart:

So I’m a part of a group of 9 who are looking to start a non-binary collab youtube channel with information and opinions and fun.  We’re all currently dfab and we’re looking for a little dmab diversity!  If anyone would like to join us, that would be awesome!  add me on facebook and send me a message!

A bit about our channel.  It was inspired by ftmtranstastic and collab channels similar to that.  So there will be weekly topics we respond to and upload videos to… fun stuff.

So yeah, if you’re dmab and interested, hit me up!

Need $240 to Make Educational Videos about Nonbinary Gender

as some of you may be aware, I have recently begun making educational videos about nonbinary gender called “Nonbinary 101”.

My plan was to do a series of videos 3-5 minutes in length covering basic concepts of gender in order to simplify and demystify transgender concepts for a cisgender audience in the most accessible way possible.

Before I was able to complete editing of my last video, my trial period of Adobe Premier ran out, and I am now unable to access my video files or continue working on this project.

I have spent a lot of time searching free video software but have not found anything that meets my needs. I have also spent a lot of time attempting to work around the payment system for Adobe Premier, to no avail.

At this point if I am unable to purchase a legitimate copy of this program I will be unable to continue working on this video project, which many people have found very helpful and informative so far.

As I am disabled, deeply in debt, and have no source of income beyond paying for my basic living expenses through government assistance, I cannot cover the $20/month it would cost me to use this program.

I have set up a paypal account and am requesting donations to reach a goal of $240, which would allow me one year of video creation with this software.

As this is a relatively small sum of money, I am hoping if enough people donate even a dollar I will be able to afford the software I need to continue this educational video project that I think could be extremely helpful in removing the burden of education placed on trans people. by helping to remove the cis/trans language barrier we will be able to work towards more respectful and informed discourse in the future.

you can donate here

thanks,

LifeOutsideTheBinary call for submissions!

After putting in hours of work over the past four days this site has been up, I can finally say we’re fully open for business.

I’ve created sections for an extensive glossary, a resource page for nonbinary people with several sub-pages coming soon, and a resource page for family and friends, with more resources coming soon.

As far as our blog content goes though, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re all about nonbinary and genderqueer visibility, so we’re looking for submission of art, photography, stories, music, poetry, comics, videos, anything you make to do with your nonbinary gender experience that you’d like to share with others! You’ll receive full credit, of course.

We’d really appreciate you signal-boosting this post so we can reach a wider audience

We’re really excited at how the resource centre is taking off and would like to thank everyone for their support. We can only hope it gets even better with more people joining our community and sharing their stories and experiences.
