stop using the asterisk after trans. it was created to include people who arent even trans (like cis drag queens) and if you use it because you think it’s more inclusive of nonbinary people, you’re implying that nb people aren’t really trans

here are a couple of explanations
if necessary

aaaaaaah!!! okay this is rull helpful thank you

hajme:

white nb people have a really fucked up definition of what binarism is lol

binarism is a feature of colonialism and western imperialism in which poc (namely black people) are forced to conform with the white gender binary system

its not the invisibility of nonbinary people in society, thats just called nonbinary erasure (like refusing to use gender neutral pronouns, say stuff like “both genders” etc)

before colonialism came in and enslaved poc, they were already expressing their genders in ways that european white people didnt understand and forced them to identify as either man or woman and entirely erased the genders specific to those cultures, wiping out a large part of individualism and expression in poc societies

Light to Dark.

Autumn is fast approaching which means its time for a transformation!
For as long as I can remember, I have changed with the seasons.
Not necessarily just my wardrobe but my emotions are a bit different as well. I am particularly excited about this Fall season because I feel that I have grown tremendously since last year.

This photo set begins with my last few outfits of the summer, then leads you into just a little taste of what my followers can expect to see this Fall/Winter season. I want to use deep hair, lip & nail colors to accent a dark and mysterious wardrobe. Focusing on cosmetics & shoes, my goal is to address the issues gender variant individuals might face this season when buying clothes and cosmetics tailored for a binary gendered society.
A few topics include facial hair & how I maintain it for make up application, as well as how AFAB can grow facial hair without taking hormones! A shoe guide that connects you with affordable brands that offer trendy shoe styles in sizes 11 & higher! Last but not least, I will begin making the lip colors & nail colors I wear in my fashion post available to you via my Thrift Store! A few other things will take place this fall, but you’ll have to stay tuned to find out!
Along with elevating my style, I also am striving to elevate the presence of House of Alexzander. I’m excited and anticipating a great Season ahead!

Much love,
Xoxo

stop fucking depicting people binding with ace bandages. binding with ace bandages is dangerous and can lead to injury.

what our friend is getting at is that ace (or any brand of compression-) bandages are designed to constrict when stretched to…

I'm about to get kicked off my parents' health insurance plan because I'm too old to stay on it or whatever. The problem is that I don't have a job with health benefits. What are my options? I'm generally healthy, but I'm on a couple prescriptions, and I don't really know how I'm going to pay after I'm not insured. :/

wayfaringmd:

Ugh, sorry friend. That stinks.

Your options right now are:

  1. Talk to your current doctor about getting you on an affordable medication regimen with $4 drugs.
  2. buy insurance (expensive)
  3. sign up for a healthcare plan on healthcare.gov in the fall when signup time comes around (only slightly less expensive)
  4. find out if you might qualify for Medicaid (also check healthcare.gov or medicaid.gov)
  5. Search for local free clinics and apply and see if you qualify
  6. Search for cash-pay clinics or “concierge clinics” that allow you to pay a monthly membership fee for primary care
  7. Call local clinics (especially residency clinics, if you’re in a larger city with an internal medicine or family medicine program) and find out if they take cash-pay patients, and if they offer a sliding-scale fee system or payment plans.
  8. Search for a health care center that can provide you with free or inexpensive primary care here
