Hello! We’re accepting new members to our YouTube group Out of This Binary. This channel is for and by nonbinary people, made in an effort to increase nonbinary representation on YouTube and in general.

WHY WE ARE LOOKING: We have a member for each day of the week now, which was our original goal. But since we want our channel to have consistency, and our members are busy and have personal problems which sometimes means we miss videos, we are opening up 2 more positions. These new members would usually upload on weekends, so there would be 2 videos for Saturday and Sunday. But if any member can’t upload a video one week, then we’d have enough members that we’ll rearrange the schedule for that week and still have a video for each day.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 1) You must be 17 or older. 2)  You must be able to make a video on Saturdays or/and Sundays. If you have flexibility outside that, like you may be able to make a video on Tuesday instead one week, that’s a plus. 3) We are hoping to find applicants who bring more of a balance to the members we already have, particularly people who are designated male at birth (DMAB, AMAB, CAMAB, etc)/transfeminine, people of color, and/or part of other marginalized groups. We want to expand the range of viewpoints in nonbinary communities on the internet, and make a virtual space with people who have the same goal as we do- of reaching out to people with similar identities and the same experience we have of feeling lonely with barely any sign of people like us!

NOTE: We know that there are often concerns about connecting one’s online identity to one’s face and voice when you’re transgender/nonbinary and discovery is a risk of violence. If you want to apply but you’re concerned that making videos would be outing yourself, we might be able to come up with a solution that helps protect your identity. An example of this is a previous member animated the visuals for their videos. So let us know if this is a concern for you and maybe we can work something out.

OutOfThisBinary is a non-binary YouTube channel that posts videos every day, with a new topic each week.

Our 6 current members share their views and life experience about subjects to do with gender identity, life, as well as day-to-day topics

Right now we are looking for 1 new regular member to fill our Thursday spot, who would be expected to post a video every week. We’re also looking for people who would be willing to be substitutes on days that a regular member cannot make a video.
