Life Outside The Binary
Nonbinary Transgender Information Centre

Hello beautiful people

lifeoutsidethebinary:

I would like to introduce myself as a new member of the lifeoutsidethebinary moderator crew!

Here are a few things about me:

  • My name is Kayl (pronounced like Kale the leafy green).
  • I am a white, transitioning transfeminine agender/androgyne person with a pansexual orientation and a blossoming magical practice.
  • They/them pronouns
  • I’m 23 years old and halfway through my first year of hormone therapy.
  • I come from a working poor background. I’m currently holding down minimum wage, part-time employment and am lucky enough to be living in a house with other queer folks.
  • I grew up steeped in punk culture and have been heavily involved in DIY organizing of small, all-ages, punk shows for the past 4 years. I’m also a huge metalhead play guitar in a doom metal band.
  • My main goal here is to assist amab nonbinary people with advice on any variety of topics but especially with information and guidance on the transitioning process as we face unique difficulties in accessing related information and proper medical care. (Especially because of the afab-dominant bias present in most nonbinary communities and information portals)
  • I always have an open ear and an open heart for anyone seeking information about trans and/or nonbinary issues.

For those asking for my personal blog:

I also forgot to mention that I am partially disabled and living with Marfan Syndrome.
