CALLING ALL PEOPLE WITHIN THE GENDER SPECTRUM

Hello there !

My name is Charlotte and I’m an illustration student in my 2nd year.

For my 2nd project we have been asked to design an ad campaign around a particular change that we would like to see within our society.

I have chosen the gender spectrum, specifically Non Binary and Gender Fluid etc

People should not be discriminated against because of their gender!!!

It should be normalised and people should be free to be who they are and express themselves as such!!!

My aim is to educate people who are unaware of the spectrum/have misconceptions about it.

I feel education is the cure for ignorance

(I realise that this isn’t always the case as some people are set in their ways and others just love being assholes but I can TRY)

For example I brought it up with my tutor and he had never heard of the terms Non binary or Gender Fluid etc but he wants to know more and so do many others in my class (and outside of it)

For me it’s important that I address the issue of gender correctly I.E the ignorance surrounding it, the lack of representation and basically the negativity currently surrounding this

What I would like from you is to tell me what YOU would like to see in ad campaign.

What do you think needs addressing? What would you like to educate these people on ?

This is so important to me because I’ve been seriously questioning my own gender for a while now and this is a great opportunity to explore my gender AND educate others on the spectrum etc.
