Trans/Genderqueer Research

Hey! My name’s Peter, and I’m currently working on a project. See, I’m a theatre guy, and have loved musical theatre for my entire life, but coming to terms with being transgender was difficult for me because there’s very little theatre out there that was made with trans and genderqueer people in mind. So, I wanted to change that by writing my own works about and including trans and genderqueer people. Only problem is that I’m a pretty well-off transgender white dude living in Southern Ontario (known as a pretty safe place for trans people!), and I certainly can’t speak for everyone in this community.

So I put together this survey (on Google Forms) as a way for me to learn more about other people. I want to hear from people of every identity, people of different races and sexualities and ages and from different parts of the world.

There is not a single question on here that is required. Some personal stuff is asked and if you don’t feel comfortable answering it, you are very welcome to leave that question blank! Everything is confidential and I promise not to reveal any personal information about you to anyone. Names will be changed in my project. But I want the characters of my story to be inspired by real people rather than just figments of my imagination that maybe don’t represent this community very well.
